CH Hayat Sarea Qareen of Hearts JC BCAT
Folklore started in the conformation ring at a very limited capacity in mid-late 2023 and earned 6 points towards her Championship. In November, she very enthusiastically earned her JC. In July of 2024, Folklore got a Reserve to the specialty major under breeder judge Elena Edwards. Folklore finished her championship with a 4 point major under breeder judge Deirdre Petrie on a supported entry weekend in Wilmington, NC. Folklore is about halfway to her grand championship with just 3 show days as a special.
Folklore is reserved with strangers but affectionate with her people; she is rather uncomplicated in the house. She warms up quickly for food and has relatively high food drive for a Saluki. Folklore enjoys toys and often brings things to play fetch or tug with. Folklore has extremely high prey drive. She is very smart and can open some latches, and can jump 6ft high, but has not shown any inclination to go over the fence, thankfully.

Folklore's OFA tests are located here. We intend to complete testing on her when she's 3 or 4 when she's closer to any potential breeding plans as most of the Saluki health testing is soft tissues which can change over time; waiting allows us to have greater accuracy when determining breeding stock.
