Multiple Group Placing Am GCHB Can CH Dunsmuir-Kushryn As You Wish JC BCAT CGCU ATT
In early 2020 we added another male to our household, “Djinn”. Djinn finished his championship in short order at 14 months and garnered a Best of Breed win from the classes over specials along the way! Djinn gathered 3 Best in Sweeps wins (with only entering 3 sweepstakes competitions) along the way at Saluki & Hound Specialties. Djinn finished his Grand Championship very quickly at 17 months old with 5 major wins and four Best of Breeds and a couple of OH Group placements along the way. Since finishing his Grand Championship, Djinn has been entered in a couple more shows acquiring multiple Owner-Handler Group wins and multiple regular group placements. Djinn finished his Canadian Championship in the summer of 2022 in just 4 days of shows with multiple group placements. He also finished #4 OH Saluki in 2022 which we are very proud of as he is limited by my teaching career and budget. Djinn has been only shown a handful of times in 2023 including a trip to the northeast for a specialty cluster in May where he was awarded BOS at a hound specialty, as well as Select and an Award of Merit at Saluki Specialties. Djinn was shown a few times in 2024 and was ranked in June after a group placement and a couple of breed placements at the May Hound Specialty in Raleigh (MAHA). He was shown at a couple of specialty clusters in summer of 2024 (Huron Valley, Summer Splash) and garnered an Award of Merit, a Select Dog, and a Best of Opposite. He is just a few points to his GCHS, after which we will show him primarily at specialties.
Djinn QCed in March 2024 and earned his first Field Championship point going Best of Breed at a lure coursing trial! We did not try to run him after his JC at 1 year old, but he may be on the coursing field more in the future since he seems to enjoy it and does well.
A favorite around the household, Djinn is a sweet boy and seems like he might have a knack for obedience too.
Djinn is lovingly co-owned with Beverly Griffith, but resides with me.

Djinn has a CHIC # and his OFA results can be found here.
